Pioneer Festival

BDS artist's Bill Berryman and Christopher Newman will be exhibiting and selling their work at Winchester's Daniel Boone Pioneer Festival. The arts and craft fair will take place on the grounds of College Park and begins Saturday, September 4th-5th 2010.

BDS at Paris Artwalk

Friday evening, July 23, 2010 from 5:00PM-9PM, members of the Bluegrass Drawing Society will be exhibiting at Kentucky Bank at 401 Main Street. Exhibiting members will be Bill Berryman, Chris Newman, and Karen Steed.

"Artists participating in the ARTWALK include Frosty Rankin, Kay and Mick Seither, Nancy Kleck, Anderson Sunda, and Dreama Tolle Perry. Some of our talented photographers include Bobby Shiflet, Madonna and Jamie Courtney, Holli Gibson, Bill Bench and Susan Black. Sculptures of Steve Johnson can be seen at Loch Lea Antiques and the Bluegrass Drawing Society will be housed at Kentucky Bank. Additionally, the stained glass work of Zig Zeigler will be on display in the 700 block and Barrel Mane-ia will be showcased in front of Horne’s."

BDS Artists Exhibiting at Lexington Gallery Hop

Friday evening( April 16, 2010), from 5:00- 8:00PM during the April Gallery Hop in downtown Lexington, KY, the Bluegrass Drawing Society will be the featured artists on exhibit at Historic Bodley-Bullock House.

The Bodley-Bullock House is a Decorative Arts Museum located in the heart of Gratz Park. The Kentucky Federal style house features a fine collection of Federal, Greek Revival, and Victorian period architecture, furnishings, and garden. The Bodley-Bullock House participates with LexArts featuring the work of local and regional visual artists.

BDS at the Winchester Opera House

The Gallery at the Winchester Opera House is honored to host the diverse members of the Bluegrass Drawing Society starting January 9th, 2010. The group features the talents of local and regional artists: Bill Berryman, Rebecca Chamberlain, Denise Knoebel, Chris Newman, and Cindy Williams.

Works on display showcase all avenues of of drawing and illustration: Pencil, charcoal, prints, pen and ink renderings, papercutting, colored pencil, watercolor pencil, mixed drawing media, and collage.

Established on September 26, 2005, the Bluegrass Drawing Society is the first arts organization in the state of Kentucky to be dedicated exclusively to the fine art of drawing. The purpose of the BDS is to create a greater awareness of the beauty of drawing by promoting drawing media in galleries, arts organizations and to the general public.
